Willaby Way: Where Passion Meets Design Transformation

Since childhood, Jordan Willaby has been captivated by the way spaces can be transformed. She would sketch floor plans on graph paper, rearrange her bedroom furniture, and spend hours designing dream houses in her free time. That early passion became a foundation for Willaby Way, the Twin Cities–based interior design studio she founded in 2020 to create homes that are not only beautiful but personal, functional, and designed to elevate daily life.
An Early Introduction to Home Building—and Cambria
That passion grew stronger in high school, when Jordan’s parents built a new home in southwestern Minnesota. It was her first exposure to the building industry—and to Cambria, as the builder installed Cambria countertops in the kitchen. Already drawn to interiors, she realized how much she loved the process of building and design, which led her to job-shadow at the residential construction company that built her family’s home.
Cambria remained a constant throughout her early career. While working at a remodeling company, she often specified Cambria in her projects and was able to tour the Cambria factory for the first time as a young designer. Now, with her own company, she has returned to the factory and continues to be impressed.
Built on Relationships
For the past five years, Willaby Way has focused on all aspects of residential design, from renovations to new builds. Her business comes largely through referrals and local builders, along with clients who discover her work on Instagram. The platform acts as both a portfolio and a way to connect personally. “I love that clients can get to know me and my work before we even meet,” she says.
Projects That Shine
Jordan’s standout projects highlight how Cambria surfaces bring beauty and function to a range of spaces.
Nature Valley: In a Napa Valley–inspired lower level, her clients wanted a space that was durable enough for kids yet sophisticated enough for entertaining. Jordan delivered both, transforming the space with Cambria’s Skara Brae® on the bar’s countertop and full-height backsplash. The grout-free application created a sleek look and acted as “the artwork of the space,” she says.

Coastal Transitional Bath: Another standout is a primary bath designed to capture a coastal, transitional feel. Blue tile in the shower anchors the palette, while Cambria’s Newport provides balance as it clads the countertop with its subtle pattern and neutral tone. “The movement and color of Newport reminds me of sand, which complements the coastal feel,” Jordan explains. The result is a bathroom that feels fresh and serene, without skewing too modern or traditional.

The Cambria Difference
Among Cambria’s many designs, Jordan and her clients often turn to Colton®. “I love the gold, brown, and black veining. It’s so versatile and transitions beautifully between many different elements in a space,” she says.
But the appeal goes beyond style. “Clients love the designs, but quality, material consistency, and the transferable Full Lifetime Warranty are equally important,” Jordan explains. That blend of design and dependability is why Cambria continues to be a trusted part of her projects.

A Future Unfolding
Jordan is currently designing a new construction residence that reflects both her evolving style and her vision for Willaby Way, featuring Cambria quartz surfaces in Cambria Matte® finish throughout. The home will include a four-centimeter island countertop and her first mitered-edge vanity top in the powder bath.
These larger-scale projects reflect Jordan’s vision for Willaby Way: creating cohesive designs that flow throughout an entire home. “I’ve loved working on kitchens and bathrooms, but more and more I’m drawn to full-home remodels because it allows me to create a cohesive style throughout the home,” she says.
Designing Through Connection
Looking back on her own career path, Jordan encourages new designers to lean into connection and community. “Go to events, meet people, network—it’s all about who you know,” she says. She points to organizations like WINC (Women in Construction) as key places for building relationships and sharing ideas.
