Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling: A Family-Run Firm with a Vision for Community

In 2011, when Matt and Jenny Sneller decided to turn years of construction and business experience into their own venture, Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling was born. With three young children, including a newborn, they started the company from their living room, working late nights after putting the kids to sleep to build a foundation for their growing business. What began as a leap of faith has since turned into a thriving design-build firm based in Spring, TX, and serving the greater Houston area.

Today, their 12-person team completes 20 to 25 projects annually, specializing in large-scale remodels and select custom homes. Every project reflects their core philosophy: balancing beauty, durability, and service so that homes aren’t just designed for today but built to last for decades.

Superior Craftsmanship

At Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling, craftsmanship is about more than just creating beautiful finishes—it’s about delivering homes that feel intentional in every detail. “Almost anyone can build a beautiful house, but what matters to us is making sure it’s durable, low maintenance, and designed specifically for the client and their family,” says Matt.

Cambria Connection

Nearly a decade ago, during a photoshoot for a newly finished home, a prop stained a marble countertop before the homeowners had even moved in—a moment that left a lasting impression on the Snellers. Although the stain was removed, after that experience they knew they needed to find a better product—one that would provide long-term durability while still delivering the look their clients wanted.

Shortly after, they began working with Cambria quartz surfaces. At first they reserved it for select projects but soon realized Cambria had a place in nearly every home they built. “Cambria provided everything we wanted,” Matt says. “It gave our clients the authentic look they were after, along with lasting quality.” Today, the team specifies Cambria in nearly every project—often designing entire homes finished exclusively in Cambria. For their clients, the variety of designs and Cambria’s transferable Full Lifetime Warranty provide both inspiration and peace of mind.

Standout Projects Featuring Cambria

Cypress Stunner: This full-home renovation, set on a man-made water-ski lake, was reimagined for large family gatherings and indoor-outdoor living.

The kitchen features Everleigh™ on the island, countertops, and full-height backsplash, extending into the pool bath where it clads the countertop. In the walk-in pantry—known to the Snellers as the “super pantry”—Smithfield® lines the countertops, adding a beautiful yet durable element to an often overlooked area of the home.

The Sneller Office: What may look like a custom home from the outside is, in fact, Sneller Custom Homes & Remodeling’s own office. Built from the ground up, the 5,000-square-foot structure serves as both headquarters and a showcase of the company’s craftsmanship, allowing clients to see, touch, and experience design possibilities firsthand.

It’s so helpful when clients can see and feel these products. The texture of Inverness veining comes to life when you run your hand across it—it’s an entirely different experience from just seeing a sample.

Matt and Jenny incorporated Cambria into nearly every room. In the kitchen, they designed an Inverness Frost™ island with a mitered waterfall edge and a custom integrated pet station complete with a pot filler. They also created a sliding backsplash in Skara Brae® that conceals a hidden spice cabinet—an inventive detail that showcases the endless possibilities of Cambria. In the bathroom, Portrush® is on display, beginning in the shower and extending across the entire wall.

Looking Ahead: A Future Sneller Community

While the Snellers remain committed to exceptional remodels and custom homes, they also dream of creating something more. Their vision is to design a boutique neighborhood centered around community, health, and connection—a place where thoughtful planning encourages neighbors to walk, gather, and know one another.

“We want to design neighborhoods for how people truly live and interact,” Jenny says. “It’s about more than homes. It’s about building communities that help families flourish and support everyday well-being.”
