Christopher Peacock’s Boston showroom installation is adorned in Cambria’s White Cliff™ countertops and Brittanicca Warm™ backsplash, both in Cambria Matte® finish.
Ask Christopher Peacock, world-renowned kitchen designer and the founder of Christopher Peacock, about the philosophy behind his company’s craftsmanship and you’ll get a deceptively simple answer: “Elegant, understated, practical, and extremely well made.” A glance at one of his kitchens—such as the spaces from his Boston showroom or the 2022 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas featured in Cambria Style—makes it clear that the designer practices that philosophy with every installation, achieving results that are innovative and timeless, beautiful and geared to the needs of everyday use. Peacock’s kitchens exude confidence and ease, but that ease was painstakingly built through years of experience and dedication to the craft of cabinetmaking.
Rich in Tradition
Originally from England, Peacock grew up among craftspeople. His grandfather, father, and uncles were all in the building trade. While Peacock didn’t exactly follow in their footsteps, he absorbed their insistence on quality, bringing it first to a career in kitchen design in both London and New York and then to the launch of Christopher Peacock Cabinetry, where he introduced the timeless elegance of British design to an appreciative American clientele.
Made in America
Like Cambria, Christopher Peacock is proud to say his cabinetry is 100 percent made in America. After the company outgrew its first workshop in Connecticut, the firm moved to West Virginia, where artisans attend to each custom element—from the hand-selected timber to the best joinery techniques to the hardware—before shipping the kitchen off to its destination, whether that’s in the US or across the globe.
Christopher Peacock’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House kitchen in Dallas featured Cambria’s Montana Midnight™* and Hollinsbrook™ countertops, both in Cambria Matte finish.
A Legacy of Philanthropy
Christopher Peacock has not only made a mark on American design but also on the lives of deserving young people across the country, thanks to his company’s work with the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Clubs (see his design for the 2022 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas featured in Cambria Style) and the Same Sky foundation.
