For Nashville-based designer Paige Williams, interior design has always felt intuitive—even before she knew the profession existed. “I wasn’t exposed to interior designers growing up,” she says. “But once I discovered the field, I thought, ‘I can do that.’”
Starting out at a local design firm, Paige spent five years learning the business side and gradually moving into creative work. In 2014, she launched Paige Williams Interior Design. “The time felt right,” she says. “I had made many business connections through networking and had gotten to know people in the industry.”
Today, the business includes two associate designers and a growing list of projects that reflect Paige’s signature style: highly livable interiors, often layered with rich color and thoughtful pattern. She draws from her own experience building a home in Bellevue, TN, to guide clients through the emotional and logistical aspects of the custom design process.
From Mid-Century to Modern
Two standout projects showcase the range of her aesthetic vision—and the versatility of Cambria’s American-made natural quartz surfaces, which she frequently specifies for their beauty, durability, and cleanability. Both projects feature the Brittanicca family of designs.
Channeling Frank Lloyd Wright: In Brentwood, TN, Paige and associate designer Brittany Creekmur remodeled the kitchen of a 2003 home to reflect the homeowners’ love of mid-century modern. Their design balances bold personality with practical function—starting with how the space would be used by the family of five.
“Functionality always comes first,” Paige explains. That principle guided decisions like adding a second prep sink to streamline mealtime—and serve as a bar when entertaining. The clients’ appreciation for Frank Lloyd Wright inspired the cabinetry’s linear forms, the emphasis on wood, and the interplay of organic textures.
Paige selected Cambria’s Brittanicca Gold Warm™ in a polished finish for the countertops, full-height backsplash, and oversized island. “The brown tones look beautiful with wood cabinetry,” she says, noting how the quartz’s veining added bold visual movement to the room. Careful coordination between the fabricator, cabinetmaker, and appliance vendor was essential—especially for the mitered quartz edges and the precise framing of the built-ins.
The kitchen’s showpiece island features a custom wood base with routed detailing, making it look like a piece of furniture. “It was challenging pulling all the elements together,” Paige says, “but the result is stunning.”

Introducing Pattern: In another Nashville-area project, Paige embraced a clean, modern aesthetic. To keep the expansive kitchen from feeling stark, she introduced Brittanicca, which has a soft white marble-inspired background with gray veining.
The kitchen includes full-height backsplashes and two quartz-topped islands—one for prep and one for dining with waterfall edges. “The quartz is bold in pattern but subtle in coloring,” Paige says. “It keeps the space calm while still adding interest.”
Exceptional fabrication shines in details like a quartz-framed window and continues into the adjacent family room, where Cambria’s Berwyn® design was chosen for a fireplace surround and a low ledge that became a favorite perch for the family dog.

Building with the Right Partners
Paige credits the pristine execution of her quartz elements to her fabrication partner Smokey Mountain Tops, a Cambria Premier Partner in Nashville. “It makes a big difference to work with a fabricator who knows the product well,” she says. “And thanks to Cambria’s Nashville Showroom, we didn’t have to search—they connected us directly.”
Her team keeps large Cambria samples in their office and uses the nearby showroom for larger pieces when needed.
Meeting Designers Where They Shop
Paige continues to explore new Cambria designs, including Remington Brass™, which she first encountered in the Cambria Showroom at the Spring 2025 High Point Market. “It was great to see the new designs in person,” she says. “And it makes sense to view them when you’re choosing other elements for a project.”
She also continues to learn more about the benefits of quartz—and to educate her clients. “For a while, clients mainly knew about granite from seeing it on HGTV,” she says. “We let them know Cambria quartz surfaces are durable, easy to clean, don’t need sealing—and come with a transferable Full Lifetime Warranty. That really resonates.”
Words of Wisdom
What should people know about working with a designer? “Clients sometimes forget that interior designers are trained in floor plans, building codes, and architecture—not just moodboards and fabric colors,” she says. “The technical side is just as important as the creative.”
And her advice to designers starting out? “Build trust and set expectations. When clients struggle with pain points like delays, it’s our job to guide them through.” And, she says, “We need to remind them that the design process, not just the finished project, is a luxury experience. We’re here to help them enjoy the process.”
