In 2007, at just 16 years old, Sean Glessing founded Sean’s Cabinetry, a custom cabinetry company based in Cokato, MN. Sean grew up around construction, often watching his father work, but it was during a woodworking class in his freshman year of high school that he truly discovered his passion for cabinetry. Inspired by what he was learning in the shop, Sean built and installed his first full kitchen in his uncle’s home, designing, building, finishing, and installing the cabinetry entirely on his own. “Installing that first kitchen at 16 really lit the fire and kept the fire burning, and marked the beginning of my business,” Sean says.
Nearly two decades later, the company serves homeowners, builders, and designers throughout the Twin Cities Metro area. While kitchens remain the company’s core focus, the team also creates cabinetry for bathrooms, bars, offices, libraries, and other built-ins throughout the home.
A Commitment to Quality
Sean’s Cabinetry takes a fully custom approach to every project, designing cabinetry to fit the space and needs of each homeowner. This allows the team to create one-of-a-kind solutions. “We’re not limited to a set number of finishes or options, but we do try to curate selections to make the process easier for our clients,” Sean says. Sean’s Cabinetry also completes all finishing in-house, allowing the team to maintain consistency and have greater control over the final product.
Sean sees quality as the foundation of every project, guiding decisions from design through material selection. “We’ve built the company around delivering the highest level of quality we can and using materials that allow us to do that,” he says.
A Natural Partner in Cambria
One of those trusted materials is Cambria quartz surfaces. Sean first began working with Cambria as the company started taking on more high-end residential projects throughout the Twin Cities. As their work in the luxury market expanded, Cambria quartz surfaces became a natural fit for those projects.
Over time, working with their local Cambria team ensured that the partnership aligned closely with Sean’s standards for quality and reliability.
Clients also respond to those qualities, along with others: “People really love the look and consistency of the material,” Sean says. “Knowing it’s Minnesota-made and backed by a transferable Full Lifetime Warranty gives homeowners confidence.”
Showcasing Cambria in the Home
Peterson Project: In this Minnetonka home designed in collaboration with construction2style, Cambria’s Charlestown™ takes center stage on the island, countertops, backsplash, and floating shelves. Paired with rich walnut cabinetry featuring clean, modern lines and integrated hardware, the deep, moody surface creates a sophisticated contrast that anchors the space. Finished in Cambria Matte®, the surface softens the overall look while enhancing the dramatic tones of the stone, a choice that aligns with the homeowner’s preference for a more muted, contemporary aesthetic.

Charlestown extends beyond the kitchen into the adjacent living area, where built-in cabinetry provides additional storage while maintaining a cohesive visual flow throughout the space.
Cambria also appears in the laundry room, where Everleigh™ clads the countertop, creating a serene workspace that balances durability with understated elegance.

Nature Valley: In this lower-level remodel completed in collaboration with interior design firm Willaby Way, another trusted Cambria partner, Skara Brae® transforms the basement bar area into a striking focal point. The design clads the built-in bar, where slate-gray cabinetry and warm gold hardware highlight the layered gray tones within the design. The result is a refined yet inviting space designed for entertaining.

Getting Started with Confidence
Sean advises homeowners beginning any renovation or new build to take the time to get educated on the many options available. The process doesn’t need to feel overwhelming, he notes. “It can be as simple as picking up the phone and calling us. We help guide you through every step.” After 19 years in business, he knows that working with the right team—and the strong business relations behind it—can shape not only the outcome but also the entire experience.
