Table Talk

Spotlighted in our Winter ’22 issue of Cambria Style are incredibly livable spaces designed by SVETLANA RYSEVA for a young Russian family that are at once functional and chic. For example, pops of color catch the eye, contrasting with the more muted design of the GEAR COFFEE TABLE FROM NOR11. Appropriate for the home’s Russian setting, describes this sculptural table as “inspired by Brutalism Architecture from the mid-20th century … designed as a block-like structure that reflects architectural building components of concrete.” The round tabletop has no nasty corners to worry about when young children are running around, and it rests atop cylinder-shaped legs with fluted detail that, according to, “add a refined and organic signature to the design.” It appears immense, but is “cast in lightweight fiber concrete with a unique and tactile surface texture.” We love this unassuming coffee table that serves a purpose while also looking like a piece of artwork. And don’t overlook the side table that deserves some center-stage attention in Ryseva’s design. This SHUFFLE TABLE BY MIA HAMBORG FROM &TRADITION was inspired by a Brio Stacking Clown toy that Hamborg recalls from her childhood. Somewhat Nordic in aesthetic, this modern occasional table invites conversation, playfulness, and an appreciation of art in design from people of any age.

A Hot Take

There is so much to take in when exploring our FEATURE STORY ON THE GALERIE HOUSE OF ART & DESIGN in Sag Harbor, New York. But, no matter how stunning the décor, every home cook and kitchen designer knows that the appliances must carry the heavy weight of not only looking beautiful, but having all the necessary features for creating family dinners and meals for special events. That’s why we are making special note of the FISHER & PAYKEL professional series dual fuel range in this show house kitchen.

Two separate ovens allow the cook to prepare foods at different temperatures at the same time and the cooktop includes both gas burners alongside induction heat for precise temperature control. All of this flexibility is capped off with a touchscreen interface that includes recipe ideas and step-by-step cooking instructions. This high-performance appliance is one hot item in our opinion.

Serve in Style

Every issue of Cambria Style includes RECIPES to help readers envision how much fun they can have in a well-designed kitchen. And every dish deserves to be paired with plates that accentuate those appetizing creations. We love the simplicity of the RIPPLE PLATE COLLECTION FROM URBAN OASIS. According to, the shapes of these plates are “visually pure with various textures to enrich the sense of touch. Color pieces are tinted through the porcelain clay giving a richness and depth of color.” In this social media era, food photography is better highlighted by beautiful plates in colors and designs that don’t compete with your dish. This interesting collection serves up your recipes with style and an understated artistic elegance.

Raise a Glass

Don’t forget the drinks! Your signature cocktails make more of a splash when served in stylized glassware. For our Winter ’22 issue of Cambria Style, this BLACKBERRY LAVENDER CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL RECIPE was served in EVE COUPE COCKTAIL GLASSES FROM CB2. Details on explain how this “flat-rimmed coupe features optic texture all around the glass, making it the perfect modern cocktail glass or even as an extra fancy dessert or parfait bowl.” Check back often for more picks from the pages of Cambria Style!
