Green kitchens are having a moment.

“From mint and sage to dazzling emerald and deep forest, green of every shade is entering the kitchen,” declared design authority Architectural Digest. “In the world of interiors, there’s one trend du jour that has our hearts racing,” added The Spruce. “That would be the rise of the green kitchen.” Concurred Homes & Gardens: “Green is the most Instagrammed kitchen color trend of the past year.”

From bold hues to subtle shades, we’ve been crushing on color in the kitchen for quite some time. Here, we’re sharing 12 gorgeous green kitchens that showcase the swoon-worthy shade to inspire your next kitchen project.

Our Selection of the Best Green Kitchen Designs

Chrome green kitchen with Cambria Black

Designer Alberto Villalobos expertly contrasted high gloss CAMBRIA BLACK™ countertops with unique gold backsplash tiles and linear terrazzo flooring.

In the kitchen of this Katonah, New York, home, Colombian interior designer ALBERTO VILLALOBOS leaned into the inherent contrast by pairing Benjamin Moore Chrome Green cabinets with CAMBRIA BLACK countertops.

“It was the perfect choice, because it’s a true, deep black, and the material is in perfect keeping with our whole ethos for the design—sticking with the kinds of highly functional, durable materials that the modernists favored, while introducing some high-end luxury,” explains Villalobos to Cambria Style.

The black and green hues pop against a standout gold backsplash and graphic custom-designed ochre terrazzo tiles. New oversize windows bathe the entire space in natural light, further spotlighting the vibrant color moments.

“The kitchen ceilings are the lowest in the house, barely eight feet in most areas, so those big windows made a huge impact on the work space and brought light into the adjoining family room,” says Villalobos to Cambria Style.

Emerald green kitchen with Brittanicca Warm

We love how the warm veining in BRITTANICCA WARM™ pairs with emerald green cabinetry.

Emerald green island cabinetry paired with BRITTANICCA WARM (a great MARBLE ALTERNATIVE) backsplash and countertops, matte Café appliances, and gold hardware lends warmth to this cozy kitchen.

Bold green kitchen with Ivybridge

Bold green cabinetry highlights the dark teal pattern in the complementary Cambria IVYBRIDGE™ countertops and backsplash.

Cambria recently introduced IVYBRIDGE—with veins that streak across the design with compelling movement.

The dark teal pattern creates depth and adds dimension to the stark white background, and the captivating mid-tone bridges the gap between warm and cool colors while being uplifting on its own.

Nowhere is that clearer than in this bold kitchen design, where the Ivybridge countertops and backsplash highlight the warm green tones.

Moss green kitchen with Rose Bay

Black, white, and green are a timeless color combination in this kitchen by BISHOP DESIGN, featuring Cambria ROSE BAY™.

In Cambria’s ROSE BAY design, a white foundation is infused with robust black marbled veining, creating a striking abstract effect where opposites definitely attract.

The juxtaposition lends itself well to this kitchen design, adding life to the moss green cabinetry while still maintaining an overall soothing aesthetic.

Bright green kitchen with Rose Bay

Sticking to a palette of primary hues keeps this design with Cambria ROSE BAY from reading too over the top. Design by Svetlana Ryseva of STUDIO LYNX.

In this unique kitchen design, Cambria ROSE BAY countertops ground an abundance of color, including bright green upper cabinetry and standout design details.

Emerald green kitchen with Brittanicca

White and green kitchen with BRITTANICCA™ countertops and backsplash. Design by Rooted KC.

Deep jewel tones are having a moment, from fashion to home design, and emerald is a lush choice for kitchen cabinets that can make your space stand out without being too over the top. This vibrant hue (Lafayette Green, Benjamin Moore) pairs perfectly with bold movement, as seen here with a statement BRITTANICCA backsplash and countertops. Brass hardware adds a glamorous final touch.

Hunter green kitchen with Whitehall and Ella

This hunter green kitchen by DS Surfaces features WHITEHALL™ and ELLA™ countertops.

For an inspired alternative to black cabinets, consider a deep forest green. This woodland hue is a natural complement to wood accents and we love the coziness that this shade exudes.

In this kitchen, Hunter Green by Benjamin Moore offers chic contrast to crisp white quartz countertops. The ELLA kitchen island features delicate linear gray veins, paired with an understated WHITEHALL perimeter, elongated hexagon tile, open shelving, and blonde wood flooring.

Rustic olive and white kitchen with Brittanicca Matte and Carrick Matte

JENNY KOMENDA’s space features a rustic green kitchen island with CARRICK MATTE™ top and BRITTANICCA MATTE™ backsplash and perimeter countertops.

This kitchen mixes things up by keeping the green to the farmhouse table island. The gray paint (Dragon’s Breath, Benjamin Moore) creates a pleasing olive green hue over the island’s wood base.

Topped with CARRICK MATTE, this open kitchen island creates a charming focal point and functional workspace with HIGH-PERFORMING QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS. The white cabinets, BRITTANICCA MATTE perimeter, and mix of backsplash materials open up the space and add intriguing pattern.

Pine green kitchen with Newport

This farmhouse kitchen by JACLYN PETERS DESIGN features pine green cabinets, matte black fixtures, cozy textures, and NEWPORT™ countertops. Photo by ARIANA TENNYSON.

This dreamy green hue seems straight out of a fairy-tale forest. We love how cabinets in this saturated shade (Jack Pine, also known as Silver Pine, Benjamin Moore) pair with crisp, white NEWPORT countertops for a romantic and cozy farmhouse palette. A plush kilim rug in pretty pastels and modern matte black accents complete the look.

Teal green kitchen with Ella Matte

Blue-green kitchen by JEN PINKSTON with ELLA MATTE™ countertops and stacked subway tile.

Flat-panel cabinetry in a muted teal hue pairs with ELLA MATTE countertops and a grid-pattern subway tile backsplash in The Effortless Chic’s SCANDI-STYLE KITCHEN. The serene yet spirited blue-green shade (Mountain Pine, Behr) on the cabinetry grounds the space, while blonde wood open shelving showcases complementary pops of color.

We love how the backsplash tiles’ stacked pattern contrasts the organic movement of Ella Matte, while the grout complements the white quartz countertops’ gray veining.

Mint green kitchen with Ella

Mint green cabinets, blonde woods, and ELLA™ create springtime vibes in THE HAPPY TUDOR kitchen.

A pastel green paint color like mint is a subtle yet distinct choice for refreshing kitchen style. Mint green cabinetry and WHITE QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS is a charming kitchen combination, especially when paired with open shelving, brass hardware, and vintage décor.

In this space, ELLA countertops and painted lower cabinets (Pigeon, Farrow and Ball) make an effortlessly elegant statement. Get all the delightful details of this vintage-modern kitchen renovation on THE HAPPY TUDOR BLOG.

Sage green kitchen with Torquay

Sage green cabinets pair with TORQUAY™ countertops and backsplash in JACLYN JOHNSON’s Cali-chic kitchen.

Sage green has established itself as a new neutral in kitchen design, and it’s easy to see why. Understated yet compelling, sage offers earthy warmth and contemporary style. In this kitchen, two-toned cabinetry creates visual interest paired with a TORQUAY island and backsplash.

The warm marble-like movement of these white quartz countertops pairs beautifully with the sage green cabinets (Misty Hillside, Dunn Edwards) and brass hardware. If you’re looking for a striking alternative to gray cabinets, sage may be just the hue for you. Learn more about this kitchen renovation HERE.
