The Process of Quartz Countertop Installation

Cambria countertops are precisely and professionally installed in three easy steps.

1. Measurement

A Cambria technician will take detailed measurements of your space. You (or another decision-maker on the project) need to be on-site for this. Most appointments are about an hour, but the length may vary with a larger space or multiple-room project.

2. Countertop Customization

Based on the measurement data, Cambria technicians will create a custom blueprint for your countertops. Cambria’s quality assurance technicians will carefully inspect the slabs to make sure they’re perfect for your space. A Cambria-approved fabricator will cut and shape your countertops with the design and edge profile you selected. Depending on the size or complexity of your space and shipping distance for the slabs, this process takes approximately two weeks. (Fortunately, your countertops will be worth the wait!)

3. Countertop Installation

A professional team will deliver and install your Cambria countertops, which have been expertly packaged for safe transit. (Keep your eye out for the trademark Cambria truck!) As with your measurement appointment, you or another decision-maker will need to be present. The installation process can take anywhere from two to five hours.

Cambria Measurement Appointment: What to Do

Follow these steps to prepare for your measurement appointment:

☐ Make sure cabinets or other structures that will support your Cambria countertops are installed. If you have any questions related to support requirements, direct them to your Cambria installation associate prior to the measurement appointment. Final decisions on support will be determined during the field measure.

☐ Clear all items off your existing countertops.

☐ Plumbing fixtures (sink and faucet) that will be used are required to be on-site as a template for cutouts and to ensure fit within the available space.

☐ Provide model numbers for any appliances you are not able to have on-site prior to your appointment.

☐ Make sure you or a decision-maker on the project will be on-site to discuss and verify all design elements and selections.

Cambria Installation Day: What You Need to Do

Here is how to prepare for your Cambria countertop install day:

☐ Prior to your Cambria installation day, confirm with your dealer that they have all the information needed to coordinate between Cambria and other trade professionals, such as a plumber.

☐ Arrange to have existing countertops removed prior to installation. Cambria will not remove old countertops unless agreed upon in the purchase agreement.

☐ Make sure any new appliances are on-site to ensure a proper fit.

☐ Make sure your sink is on-site to install with the countertop.

☐ Make sure your faucet is on-site. Although it won’t be installed by the Cambria team, it must be available to properly drill holes.

☐ Clean out your sink cabinet before the installation team arrives.

☐ Clear a walkway to the worksite before the installation team arrives.

☐ Make sure you or a decision-maker on the project will be on-site to let the installation team in at the scheduled appointment time.

☐ After the countertops have been installed, closely inspect them. If you have any questions or concerns about the Cambria surfaces installed, report them immediately to the installers so they can address them on-site. If there is anything the team is unable to address related to your countertops, document it and reach out to Cambria Customer Care at 1-866-CAMBRIA  (1-866-226-2742).

☐ Take photographs of the space for your records, including a shot of the full space and close-ups of each installed piece. This will be helpful to have on hand if you ever need to reach out to Cambria Customer Care.
