Process Control Engineer

Le Sueur, MN

Cambria has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.  This key position will be responsible for driving process and quality control in the manufacturing operation through critical quality checkpoint monitoring and process auditing.  The engineer will own the quality controls designed into the process and ensure the production team is highly informed on the critical inputs and outputs of the process.  These efforts will empower production teams and supervisors to focus on other key deliverables of the operations group from a position of quality confidence.


Responsibilities:

  • Safety of self, others and process
  • Data creation, collection, manipulation, auditing, presentation, and organization
  • Live process control monitoring audits (routine)
  • Performing process control checks
  • Active communication of process control observations
  • General administrative functions
  • Developing testing protocols or adapting them as needed
  • Assist with trial coordination and display activities
  • Contribution to team Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety roles


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Manufacturing Engineering required
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule including overtime, nights, and weekends (Cambria is a 24/7 facility)
  • Must be able to safely operate manufacturing equipment, forklift, and crane
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work with data base information, Adobe products and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of statistics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and control charts preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Must be able to implement organizational systems for electronic and paper documents
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken formats
  • Physically capable of working in a manufacturing environment including ladders
  • Ability to be assertive with peers as needed
  • Must be able to work within and lead teams and groups not directly reporting to the Research and Development (R&D) team
  • Must have great attention to detail
  • Must have a professional composure
  • Must have a positive collaborative attitude
  • Must be a highly self-motivated, high energy, and passionate worker
