Trainer (2nd Shift)

Cambria has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.  This 2nd shift (5:00pm – 5:00am) position is responsible for the skill development of Cambria personnel and reports to the Safety Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop Floor Trainers to strengthen their training skills and ensure policy compliance
  • Conduct audits of personnel to ensure that trained processes and procedures are followed
  • Learn, document and teach all positions at the Cambria Plant
  • Audit and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), training checklists, and supporting training documents
  • Conduct floor trainings
  • Conduct recertification classes for forklift, aerial lift, and crane training
  • Report to management on the productivity of personnel in training
  • Lead stretching exercises for shift
  • Assist with special projects as directed by the Safety Manager and Supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Previous experience in production preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability and willingness to fill in for operations when required
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work varying and extended hours as requested
  • Ability to perform physical actions necessary for learning all the positions within the Plant
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule including every other weekend
