Plant Manager

Cambria has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.  This position is responsible for overseeing all Cambria Plant activities as it relates to production, quality, maintenance, safety, and enforcement of company rules and regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all Plant activities and performance
  • Oversee the work of Plant department managers to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee the attainment of company goals in relation to production, quality, maintenance, and safety
  • Attend daily manager meetings to review Plant activities from the previous day and create a plan for the next 7-10 days
  • Review inventory numbers daily and plan production accordingly
  • Monitor and adapt the production schedule according to sales forecasts
  • Utilize safety protocols for safety violations by reporting issues, educating and disciplining employees as needed, notifying insurance carriers, ensuring that necessary medical care is received, and monitoring employee adherence to restrictions
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees by taking corrective action immediately when a potentially unsafe condition is discovered
  • Monitor and manage costs at the Plant daily
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions daily
  • Review and approve invoices monthly
  • Contact outside vendors regarding issues with raw materials, equipment, and other resources as needed
  • Develop the knowledge and skills of Plant department managers and any other employees reporting directly to the manager position
  • Review and approve pay raises and performance reviews for Plant employees
  • Track work hours of Plant employees and give final approval on payroll
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or another related field required
  • 4+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Mechanical understanding of how production machines work preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance programs
  • Basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, averages, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to teach, manage, and coach employees effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to move around the whole Plant throughout the day
  • Ability to be accessible 24/7 for Plant issues that arise
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to deal with a multitude of personalities
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Good planning skills and work well under pressure
