Communications Coordinator

Cambria has an excellent opportunity for a passionate, savvy, and driven individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment.  This position is responsible for listening, monitoring and capturing Cambria (and industry) earned media, as well as identifying opportunities to build brand awareness and drive engagement. This role will also be responsible for supporting the execution of various public relations initiatives.  This Communications Coordinator reports to the Manager of Communications.


Responsibilities:

  • Listen to consumer and trade conversations via Cambria’s social channels and social/PR monitoring tools
  • Monitor digital platforms to identify engagement and exposure opportunities
  • Identify and capture Cambria’s editorial mentions, media coverage and earned media within 24 hours of publish (digital and print)
  • Create daily, weekly and monthly media reports and updates for Cambria internal teams
  • Research and analyze conversations/articles for key insights on trends and competitors
  • Proactively generate ideas for content and media stories
  • Identify and engage with key influencers, bloggers and media
  • Work with communications team on blogger relations and outreach
  • Organically grow Cambria’s social channel audiences by identifying engagement opportunities
  • Work with Communications Manager to identify ongoing reputation management tactics
  • Work with communications team to manage PR/social software tools
  • Manage contacts within PR/social software
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferred focus in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism)
  • 1-3 years of direct work experience in the field of social media, public relations, or communications
  • Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented and organized
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective relationship building skills and problem solving abilities
  • Experience with Vocus, Radian6 or similar PR/social tools
  • Experience using Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis in Word and Excel
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities
